For 15 years I’ve been exploring ways to photograph ungroomed vegetation with its chaos of shapes and lines. In doing so it removed any preconceived ideas I had about the environment of either providing like a mother figure or punishing like a father figure. It grows and it dies and in that regard this is enough to make a picture and celebrate the ephemeral character of things.
